Hypnotherapy, Stress management and Counselling

I have always undertaken the most effective therapy training available to be able to assist me to help each and every client working with me to resolve their personal challenges.

Over the years I witnessed hundreds of clients transforming their lives with the therapeutic tools I was able to provide them. This was and still is a humbling experience.

Question: what are the characteristics needed to be an effective counsellor, hypnotherapist and stress management consultant?

Answer: Ability to establish rapport with clients, empathy, ethics, willingness to learn, intelligence, being an effective listener, expertise and an office to work from.

Question: what are the essential training skills needed to be an effective counsellor, hypnotherapist or stress management consultant?

Answer: None whatsoever beyond having the capacities listed above. Training and life experiences are a bonus for therapists and their clients.

Question: What regulatory bodies therapists must belong to be considered an effective counsellor, hypnotherapist and stress management consultant?

Answer: None whatsoever. Besides, regulatory bodies have been set-up as a private enterprise. Such bodies might receive state funding but are neither regulated nor recognised by the state.

Regulatory bodies are mainly funded by the annual membership fees.

Many of the above answers are applicable to ‘Complimentary medicine centres and fairs’ and the practitioners working there hire rooms (tables) on an hourly (daily) basis.
